Skin Rejuvenation
Microneedling
A pen with very fine needles makes controlled micro-injuries in the skin to prompt it to rebuild collagen.
$375
per session
Includes numbing cream, the session, and a post-care serum for the first night. Sample prices, demo site.
How it works
Microneedling suits texture: enlarged-looking pores, shallow acne scars and fine lines in the skin itself. It does not change deep folds or lines that come from movement. The depth of the needles is set for each area of the face, shallower on the forehead and deeper on scarred cheeks.
Who does it
Our nurse practitioner or a licensed aesthetician trained on the device.
Time and sessions
Each session: About an hour, including 30 minutes for numbing.
Usually a series of three to six sessions, four to six weeks apart. Collagen builds slowly, so changes show over months.
Downtime
Skin looks sunburned for one to three days and may feel tight or flake a little.
Common side effects
- Redness and tightness for one to three days
- Small pinpoint bleeding during the session
- Rare: infection, or darker patches on deeper skin tones
Who should wait or skip it
- You have an active breakout, cold sore or eczema flare on the face
- You took isotretinoin in the last six months
- You form keloid scars
Alternatives
- A chemical peel series for tone more than texture
- The laser facial
- A prescription retinoid at home
One price for the full face. The neck can be added for $95.
